Goalie Tips Part 1 : The Stick and the Playoffs

In Honor of the great Montreal Canadien's goalie Den Dryden #29, Who's number will be retired on Monday 29th of January in Montreal. A must see event !
These tips are incredible. I talk about hockey just about everyday, and these tips are the best I have heard. You must hear these tips if your serious about Goaltending. I had to break the goaltending interview down into 5 sections, two of which are here in part 1. This is a repeat episode in honor of Ken Dryden and hard working goalies everywhere.

PeeWee BB Bucs Help Resto-vie feed kids

Here's a Great Charity Organization ,Resto-vie being helped by the PeeWee BB Buccaneers. The first hockey team I know to get involved, hopefully one of many. My Hat is off to Eugene Dube, who as George Springate mentioned in the news recently, found himself to be the last man standing in the kitchen this summer. Thankfully he found the strength and determination to carry-on and continue providing meals, approximately 80,000 per year. This picture is Eugene Dube with the Coach of the PeeWee Bucs Yvan Maldonado.

LSL Lions Midget AAA 1st Half and St.L Tournament Winners showing how to score goals.

For Family,Friends and Fans, here are the LSL Lions Midget AAA 1st Half and Tournament Winners, show again how to score on the opponent.

This Video Montage may be proof that Coach Danny Dupont may have a future outside of Hockey. These Guys manged to win the St Leonard Tournament at the Martin Brodeur Arena, earlier this month so here is the link.

November, 2006 - LIONS DOMINATE AT SAINT LEONARD TOURNAMENT
The Lac St. Louis Lions Midget AAA team took part in the 33 annual Saint Leonard Tournament from September 1-5. The Lions won the tournament convincingly outscoring their opposition in the preliminary rounds 19-2. In the Semi-final game played Sunday morning the Lions came out flying and defeated the Laurentides Vikings 4-0 allowing them to move on to the finals to play Laval Bourassa.

The final on Sunday afternoon was a hotly contested affair with Laval-Bourassa jumping out to a first shift lead on a tough bounce that Matthew Dopud could not get a handle on. The Lions throughout the period clearly were the better team but despite some sustained pressure they could not put one into the Laval-Bourassa net.
Read the latest news at,
http://www.lsllions.com/english.htm

My personal opinion is that you may see this team in the Midget AAA National Tournament this year representing Quebec like the Patriots did last year.
Best of Luck Lions !!!
Congrats, to the Sponsors as well, Sodi Fruits, Alasko, Banque Nationale, Le Marche de l'Ouest, Madison's Steakhouse, Saputo, Matelas Bonheur, Federal, the UPS store, and McCain.

Sean Skinner on Stickhandling , Video Tip with the Bucs and Pirates

OK, Here's a great video clip Tip for Hockey Players. My son seen always in his orange gloves, scored a hat trick just hours after Sean's on-ice session. Maybe it's just a coincidence, it could be the orange gloves after all.
Enjoy this Tip from Sean at

Quick Zone Breakout

Thanks to PJ Stock at www.Team990.com for the reminder,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P.J._Stock

(P.J. has been Entertaining and Vocal about the NHL since he had his first spot on Melnyk's show as a guest. Yesterday he was a guest on Michael Lansberg's show Off The Record, which is also Linked on this page at the right under Podroll.)

Today I am talking about the Quick Zone Breakout and how the new rules will help the offensive attack.

Make sure the Defense practices the Breakout Pass by hitting the rushing Forward at Full Speed. If the Forwards generate enough speed they will not be stopped until they reach the offensive zone.

I am hoping to put together a video to illustrate this possibility soon.

More About Hockey Penalties, Gaining the Advantage.

Thanks for the attention this month. We have had an incredible increase in the number of Page Views and Downloads. They have been from Seattle and Vancouver to Colorado, Detriot, Boston, Toronto, Montreal even Isreal, India, and China, Imagine that !

Reducing penalties is the best way to improve your team play and gain an advantage over the opposition.

The penalties can be avoided and your team will have more ice time to score goals. You may even end up with more powerplays since many teams are still playing old style hockey and taking silly penalties. I can not stress this advantage enough, too many teams are slow to pick-up on this change in hockey.

See more on the Hockey Penalties at,

http://www.hockeycanada.ca

Again many thanks for your support of Sports Podcasts !

<itunes:summary>Thanks for the attention this month.

Again many thanks for your support of Sports Podcasts !</itunes:summary>

Interference in Hockey One of the Hardest penalties to Understand

Hear is the first podcast on what is going to be the hot topic of the start of the season. Penalties are going to be unbelievable. We will try to help out with some ideas on how to adjust the teams for the new rules that have filtered down from the NHL. Here is Interference as explained by Hockey Canada.

You can start to by checking-out the Hockey Canada's site.

Many thanks to
http://www.bnt.ca
and
http://www.hockeycanada.ca/

They say it's a new game and I have to agree, many coaches are having a hard time recognizing the game, and we have just begun the season.

Congrats to Ken Dryden and Serge Savard who this week it was anounced that the Montreal Canadien will finally lift their jerseys to the rafters and retire their numbers.

Dollard Novice Tournament Underway, and a Supportive Uncle, Jose Theodore came by.

Once the World's Largest Novice Tournament, The Traditions Continue. See what fun on ice looks like in the short video clip. Mike Ribeiro came by for the Pre-Novice Tournament and Jose Theodore was visiting the Novice Tournament. I would have liked to get a comment from him about the tournament, but the kids were already keeping him busy with precious things to be signed. Good Luck to all the teams. As a past organizer Mr. Wilson used to say "I wish they could all end in a tie".

Speed and a good shot are the forwards best weapons against size. Most defense are Big and Powerful but not always as quick. Girl's Power against the #1 Team.

Tips for Forwards are coming. In the meantime, here is a forward doing her job against the #1 team, who were mostly twice her size. The forwards have to use the advantage of speed over size. So crash the net, and try to face your teammate, to see the pass better when you set-up for your shot on net. Also, Golden Congrats to Jennifer Heil !!!

Golden Goalie Tips: Part 1 The Playoffs and The Goalie Stick, a must have for Goalies and Coaches.

These tips are incredible. I talk about hockey just about everyday, and these tips are the best I have heard to date. You must hear these tips if your serious about Goaltending. I had to break this down into 5 sections, two of which are here in part 1. Hats of to our Canadian Women’s hockey team, and Hats off to all Girls and Women in Hockey Today. My Daughter Kallie is thrilled that her Heros came shining through. Emilie (in the Picture with Kallie) and Kim St.Pierre came to encourge and help our girls program recently, so I will have some tribute photos here. Thanks for listening and subscribing, we’re thrilled to be improving this great sport.
